VXD / FILELAB 1.1.0

Open, edit, download.

The original on your device is not overwritten. Changes stay in memory until you save or export a new file.

Getting started

  1. Open the editor and choose PDF, Images or Documents.
  2. Use “Open file” or drop a file into the workspace.
  3. Select an object and edit its properties. Confirm with “Apply” when needed.
  4. Download your result with Save or Export before closing the page.

PDF

Click a supported native text object to edit it. “Original” reuses the same object where possible; a FileLab font replaces the object and embeds the selected font. Line grouping is geometric: check the selection and disable grouping when editing a single object.

You can add text, images, drawings, drawn signatures and highlights. The left-hand controls add, rotate, reorder and delete pages. Merge appends another PDF; Extract supports ranges such as 1-3, 5.

Limits: no OCR and no automatic document reflow. Scans are images; text in Form XObjects, rotated objects, unknown fonts or alternative-text markings may be uneditable. Set the page to 0° to edit supported objects. Digitally signed PDFs and unsupported structures are rejected to avoid misleading modifications.

Images and projects

JPG, PNG and WebP. Add text, shapes, images and drawings on layers; use the right panel for size, position, opacity, brightness and contrast. Save creates a .filelab.json project with editable layers. Export creates PNG, JPG or WebP: text becomes part of the raster image.

PNG preserves transparency; JPG uses a white background. Keep the project as well if you want to edit layers later.

DOCX

The editor handles text, basic formatting, simple tables and inline images. Save and Export produce a DOCX document. Untouched parts such as headers and footers are preserved, but are not displayed or editable.

This is not a Word page-layout engine. Revisions, formulas, fields and complex objects are rejected. For full fidelity with complex documents, use a suitable desktop editor.

Size, memory and browser

Undo and Redo use a limited history. There is no remote archive; after closing, documents cannot be recovered unless you saved a download.

Fill & sign

In the PDF editor choose Fill & sign. Fill text inserts a line in blank spaces; Check and Cross mark checkboxes. Signature lets you draw with a mouse or finger, type your name or upload a PNG, JPG or WebP. Choose its width and click the page to place it. You can reuse or forget the last signature during the session.

Initial every page derives initials from your first and last names. You can edit them, choose the font, colour, position and margin, and add Read acknowledgment. Check that the margin is clear. One Undo removes the entire operation.

The signature is a graphic embedded as an image; it is not a certificate-based digital signature. Text, signatures and initials can also be added to scans and rotated pages. This does not edit letters inside an image and does not include OCR. Interactive AcroForm/XFA forms and digitally signed PDFs remain unsupported: use a flat, unsigned PDF copy.

Undo, fonts and full screen

Undo (Ctrl/Cmd+Z) reverses applied text, images, signatures and edits; Redo uses Ctrl+Y or Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z. If properties are still unapplied or a signature is awaiting placement, the first Undo discards that draft. Exit tool or Esc cancels the current gesture without adding content. Inside text fields Ctrl+Z keeps normal typing undo.

Lato, Lato Bold, PT Serif and Sacramento are included from Google Fonts as static files: no system installation or Google connection. They are embedded in PDFs as selectable native text; image projects preserve the selected font. This is a selection, not the entire Google catalog. OFL licenses are included.

Full screen expands the editor and hides the site frame without reopening your document. Press the button again or Esc to exit. When the browser denies full screen, an expanded view is used. In normal view the complete site footer is below the editor; scroll the page to reach it.
